Started dogs are retrievers that have completed at least the Basic Gundog program and more often than not are well on their way through intermediate and advanced training. We offer these dogs for those individuals that want to bypass the puppy phase and get a dog that is ready to go. When available, dogs and their details will be posted on this page.
While started dogs are priced significantly higher than buying a puppy, often they are a tremendous value when you consider the time and training invested to get them to this point. These dogs are not "problems" or "washouts" and will only be placed with well-suited appropriate buyers.
